Wheel Alignment Pre-Check | Vehicle Pre-Alignment Checks

For those performing a wheel alignment check on a vehicle, no matter which wheel alignment system you are using to obtain alignment measurements, it’s important to do some simple pre-checks to ensure the vehicle is in the optimal condition for accurate readings.

To help, we have produced a handy Pre-Alignment check guideline which can be followed to ensure the vehicle is optimal for the alignment measurements to be carried out.

	Pre-Check	Status
1	Check the suspension and joints are in a good condition
2	Centralise the steering rack (if it has been replaced)
3	Check tyre pressures are correct
4	Check there are no space saver tyres fitted
5	Remove wheel trims if they are fitted
6	Check for damaged or buckled wheels

Once you are happy with your prechecks you carry out your wheel alignment measurements.
