Looking Back and Moving Forward: How Far Supertracker Has Travelled With Straightset

In 2022, Supertracker began a new chapter.

Since joining the Straightset family, our goal has been about more than just manufacturing wheel alignment equipment. We’ve worked to redefine what workshops should expect through smarter, customer-led design, stronger support, and a simpler, more straightforward way of working.

Looking back, everything we’ve done over the last four years has been guided by one simple principle: to listen to the customer and build around their needs. Because we believe wheel alignment shouldn’t be complicated or confusing, it should be clear, practical, and intuitive.

A Brand Built On Clarity

One of the first steps we took was refreshing the Supertracker identity. We kept the iconic red customers know and trust, whilst refining and streamlining the brand to reflect our new identity as a part of Straightset. Today, the result is a modern, confident, and instantly recognisable identity that reinforces our customer-first ethos as the Home of Straightforward Wheel Alignment.

That idea quickly began to shape every decision we made, guiding the design of our systems so they are practical, intuitive, and easy to use rather than complex or overengineered, making everyday work simpler, not harder.

Designed For Real Workshops

Over the past few years, we’ve seen workshops change rapidly to keep up with the evolution of the automotive industry. Space in garages has become tighter as vehicles grow larger and more complex, meaning garages and their equipment need to adapt to work smarter and save space.

That’s why we’ve focused on reducing the footprint of our systems without compromising performance or durability. From slim, wall-mounted laser aligners like the STR1WM, to fully mobile solutions such as the STR1 Mobile for alignment on the go, and the latest tablet-controlled COMPACT CCD range designed with size and manoeuvrability in mind, every solution is designed to fit seamlessly into modern workshop environments.

Whether it’s a fixed bay, a space-restricted garage, or a mobile service van, there’s now a Supertracker system designed to work around you, not the other way around. Because great alignment shouldn’t require more space than you can spare.

Leading with innovation

Innovation at Supertracker starts with one simple question: how can we make alignment easier for the people who use it every day? That mindset drives us to continually improve and create products that make wheel alignment more practical, efficient, and intuitive.

In 2023, we were proud to become the first company in the UK to launch green laser alignment systems, delivering a clearer, sharper laser line for faster and even more accurate alignment results. That technology is now used across our full car and commercial ranges, helping technicians work with greater precision and confidence.

Last year, we introduced our latest COMPACT CCD systems, which quickly proved popular with customers seeking an affordable, manoeuvrable, and space-saving solution. Tablet-controlled and easy-to-use, they combine advanced capability with the simplicity we’re known for. Designed around direct customer feedback, they give garages everything they need to perform accurate alignments in a straightforward, easy-to-use format.

Customer input continues to shape every improvement we make, from stronger hangers for larger wheels to smaller systems for tighter spaces and purpose-built solutions for specialist sectors. Our dedicated commercial alignment range, for example, is engineered specifically for heavy-duty vehicles, with robust components and a truck-specific database that makes alignment simple, consistent, and repeatable.

Built to Last

One thing we’ve always believed is that alignment equipment should be a long-term investment, not something you replace every few years. That belief underpins our Built-to-Last commitment. We continually review and upgrade the materials across our systems to ensure lasting reliability. From stainless steel and chrome-plated components to stronger hanger designs capable of handling larger wheels and heavier vehicles, every detail is engineered to withstand daily use. For us, alignment equipment isn’t about buy-and-replace; it’s about investing once and relying on it for years to come.

Many customers have chosen to return to us over the past few years after spending more than 15 years with their trusted Supertracker aligners, not because their systems have failed, but because they’re ready to upgrade to newer models that save space and enhance their alignment capabilities.

We see every sale as the start of a partnership, not a transaction. We work closely with our customers throughout the lifespan of their equipment, providing ongoing support and maintenance to ensure their systems continue to perform year after year, truly living up to the Built-to-Last name.

Customer First Support

Over the past four years, we’ve also learnt that great equipment is only part of the story; support matters just as much. That’s why we’ve been continually expanding our nationwide network of factory-trained engineers to improve response times and coverage across the UK. Fully equipped with spare parts and mobile calibration rigs, they’re ready to keep customers up and running, minimising downtime whenever it occurs.

We’ve also invested in education and training to support the next generation of technicians. In 2024, we opened our specialist training and demonstration centre at our head office in Worksop, giving customers the opportunity to experience our latest technology first-hand or refresh their alignment knowledge.

Alongside this, we created practical how-to videos and partnered with learning providers such as MANTRA Learning to help support the next generation of engineers.

Looking Back and Moving Forwards

Looking back, the last four years have been about listening, evolving, and building a brand that genuinely supports modern workshops.

From compact systems and specialist truck aligners to stronger materials, better training, and nationwide support, every development has come directly from what our customers told us they needed.

As a part of Straightset, we’ve been able to introduce new technologies to our alignment range, refresh our brand, expand our support network, launch smarter alignment systems, and strengthen the durability of everything we build.

But what we’re most proud of isn’t any single product. It’s the trust our customers place in us. That trust drives us to keep improving, keep innovating, and keep making wheel alignment simpler, smarter, and more straightforward than ever.

Four years in, the journey is only just beginning, and the best of Supertracker is still to come...
